Learners who successfully complete the module will earn 1 contact hour of continuing nursing education credit.

PRN Continuing Education (OH-145/3-1-09) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This is the first independent study in a two-part series related to the Healthy People 2010 initiative. Each independent study complements the other, but each is designed to stand alone. It is not necessary to complete Part II in order to earn contact hours for Part I. To earn one contact hour for this study, read the entire article, complete the post-test with a score of 80% or higher, and complete the evaluation.

This course will be available until September 7, 2008.

Identify the components of Healthy People 2010.
Describe health promotion activities of the nurse that support Healthy People 2010 – focus areas 1-14.

Requirements for successful completion: Pass the post-test with a score of 80% or higher and complete the evaluation form.

Step 2: Take Multiple Choice Exam

Step 3: Upon successful completion of an exam (a score of 80% or higher), an email is generated automatically with confirmation of your completion. Your certificate will be mailed to you within seven days.
